PTU Waiting For My Valentine

Waiting for my valentine was written by myself on 7th February 2013. Any similarity to any other tag or tutorial is co incidental.

Supplies Needed

Tube of choice. I have used the Beautiful artwork of Zindy Nielsen. 

Scrapkit - PTU Lovely by Melissa at WD Designz and is Exclusive to Zindy's store. Both Available HERE

Mask 444 by Vix  HERE

Lets get started.

Open a new image 700 x 700. Paste paper 15 and resize 85%. Load Vix 444 mask from disk, fit to layer. In layer palette delete mask and merge group. Paste frame 9 and resize by 98%. Take your magic wand and click inside frame.Selections-modify-expand by 4. Paste paper 15 as a new layer, Selections-invert and hit delete. Select none. Move this new layer below frame.

Paste Frame 1 as a new layer and resize 70%. Position at the top of tag, Line up the hook/eye on the top of the left heart with hole in frame(refer to my image). Magic wand inside each heart. selections-modify-expand by 4. Paste paper 4 as a new layer, selections-invert and delete, Select None, again move this layer below frame layer. Add a drop shadow. 

Paste your tube, duplicate and move the duplicate below frame 9. Use your eraser tool on your original to erase along the bottom of tube so that it sits neatly inside the frame. On the copy erase the overhang below the frame. Again duplicate the original. On the copy adjust gaussian blur by 3 and change blend mode to soft light. Add a drop shadow to original.

Now to paste our elements. Add drop shadow to your liking (use my image as guide)

Element 11. Silver leaf string. Place above heart frame, below tube. Use eraser tool to remove the overhang above her head and on the left of tag.

Element 8 Watch. Rotate to the right by 12. Place behind heart frame and use eraser tool to delete overhang at top.

Element 91 silver leaves. Mirror and resize 35%. Place bottom right of tag above tube.

Element 21 White Rose. resize 50%. Place above leaves.

Element 17 Black Flower. Resize 35% and rotate to left by 12. Place above white rose.

Element 85 Bow. Mirror, resize by 50%. Place bottom left of tag.

Element 34 Heart String. Place over flowers and bow along bottom of tag.

Element 9 Hearts. Resize 50%. Place on top of flowers, Use eraser tool to delete the bottom heart that hangs low down on your tag.

Add your name and copyright info. Merge visible. Crop/resize and sharpen to your liking.
